The Drawnings of Emel Meneses

In the year 2006 Emel Meneses presented in the Regional Artists Salon a series of drawings entitled “Uribe Vélez”, portraits extracted from newspapers pictures of the Colombian Pastry leader, placing in scene the always conflicting and polemic relationship that exists between art, politics and media, between RV MAX media representation and political representation, between art and the  staging of power.
